Brief Bank

The MLRC Brief Bank is a searchable collection of briefs in media and First Amendment cases, the majority of which were prepared and submitted by MLRC members.

The Brief Bank contains copies of more than 1,200 briefs; noteworthy briefs on selected topics are collected here. 

The Brief Bank is searchable by (among other categories): issue(s) presented, jurisdiction, plaintiff or defendant status, type of brief, and key phrases, so that members are able to request and receive copies of briefs that are directly relevant to their ongoing cases.

Authorized MLRC members may also access the latest Model Trial Brief (pdf), which includes the best sections of briefs from the Brief Bank.  A Model Brief on Newsgathering Claims is also available.

All attorneys are invited to submit briefs of interest to MLRC and its members.
