Expert Witness Directory

The Expert Witness Directory contains information about both defense and plaintiffs’ experts on media law issues, including a list of media law cases in which they have been designated as witnesseses by courts.

MLRC members may use the link below to search the directory by the expert’s name, area of expertise, experience, and previous cases the expert has been involved in, as well as the issues they provided testimony on.

2014 Update

The MLRC Expert Witness is in need of an update, and Litigation Committee is working on identifying active experts that are relevant to media law litigators. It would be of great benefit to all members if each of you could please forward — to experts@medialaw.org — the name and basic contact information (address, email, phone) you have for any expert witness you have dealt with, in any defamation or privacy case, with an indication as to the expert’s area of expertise (e.g., journalist standards).  Please indicate if the expert is a plaintiff-only expert in media cases. Deposition transcripts and CVs are welcome, but not required at this time.
