The staff of the MLRC is a dedicated team of both attorneys and non-attorneys who care deeply about First Amendment and media rights. We welcome inquiries from those interested in working with us. All MLRC positions are located in our office in Manhattan.

MLRC members also have access to our Member Job Listings, including opportunities that are currently open with our member organizations. These listings, which are often not available through mainstream placement websites, can include in-house and law firm positions at all levels.

Legal Fellowship for Law School Graduates

The MLRC Fellowship offers a recent law school graduate, including young associates, the opportunity to work with our inhouse lawyers and outside members on a wide variety of media law and policy issues. The Fellow’s responsibilities include researching and writing articles on legal developments; tracking legislative developments, assisting in responding to legal inquiries; assisting with MLRC’s conferences; and developing specific First Amendment research and/or writing projects.

The Fellowship is a one year position. The salary is $60,000, including paid vacation and health insurance. Candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, and writing sample to medialaw@medialaw.org.

Internship Opportunities for Law Students

The Media Law Resource Center accepts applications for fall and spring term internships on an ongoing basis. The internships are unpaid and require students to arrange for academic credit. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, and writing sample to: medialaw@medialaw.org.
